Buffalo, NY artist Son of Tony releases double album

These days, it’s rare to see an artist release a double album. But then again, Buffalo, NY based artist Son of Tony isn’t your average artist! His gritty voice, combined with raw, unfiltered emotion, flows effortlessly over hard hitting production as he shares his life experiences. Check out each project below. Mastered by D-Sane @ Digital Age Sound.

New album from producer Marcus D!

Seattle Hip-Hop producer, Marcus D, who now lives in Japan, has released his latest instrumental project called Times Remembered. Available on all digital platforms, CD, and vinyl. Mastered by D-Sane @ Digital Age Sound.

“Consisting exclusively of jazz samples from the early-to-mid 1900s, Marcus D returns to his roots with Times Remembered. An obvious homage to Bill Evans’ acclaimed “Time Remembered”, Marcus D uses sultry piano loops behind signature drum breaks layered with horn and string sections that would make Count Basie and Duke Ellington proud. In an era where Bill Evans and Chet Baker samples have become Spotify playlist fodder for “lo-fi” beatmakers, Marcus D forgoes the easy formula of finger-drumming over well-known jazz samples and seeks to create something unique and full of life; something familiar, but timeless. Times Remembered is an ode to the golden age of jazz, and the heartache, sacrifice, and artistry that pervaded the genre. Times Remembered taps into that moment in time and modernizes it beautifully.” – Rayne Sakaguchi (Tokyo Jazz Note)
