Welcome to DigitalAgeSound.com, the online home to veteran Seattle music producer and audio engineer, Dave “D-Sane” Severance III.  My mission is to provide industry standard recording, mixing, and mastering services at an affordable price.  I also do audio format transfers (such as cassette to CD), audio restoration, and CD replication/duplication. All work can be handled via the internet or mail and I work with clients from all around the world.  CashApp, Venmo, PayPal, Visa & MasterCard payments accepted.

Digital Age Sound is a full service boutique recording studio located in the North Seattle neighborhood of Lake City.  The studio is the perfect audio hybrid, offering the highest quality analog gear to capture the best performance possible, then utilizing high quality analog to digital converters to transfer it to the digital domain. The control room is professionally acoustically treated and features panels by GIK Acoustics. My ever growing body of work has shown up on over 400 albums & mixtapes worldwide, as well as radio, music videos, concert tours, movies, TV and even voice-over work for Clear Channel Radio.

With over 30 years of experience in all aspects of making music, I’ve established myself as one of the Northwest’s premier producers and audio engineers.  I’ve been making music professionally since 1998 and attended Shoreline Community College’s award winning music program, where I was offered a job teaching “Hip-Hop Drum Programming 101” while enrolled as a student.  From 2000-2005, I worked with and was mentored by renowned mastering engineer Barry Corliss, who taught me the ins and outs of analog mastering.  Much of the hottest music coming out of the Seattle area has passed through my hands in one way or another.  Whether it’s recorded, mixed, mastered or produced by Digital Age Sound, you can be assured that you will always receive QUALITY product ON TIME.

I am also the owner of the legendary Seattle indie Hip-Hop label, Street Level Records.  SLR and myself rose to prominence in 1998 with the release of the seminal rap group, Full Time Soldiers, in which I was the sole producer, recording and mixing engineer, as well as MC.  SLR’s catalog of albums currently eclipses all other NW Hip-Hop record labels with over 35 full length releases.
